What this tool does

A raffle generator samples eligible entries for one or more prizes, removes a winner when repeat wins are disabled, and records the result without claiming third-party verification.

Prize draws

Where this raffle workflow fits

Run a community door-prize draw

Draw from a checked-in eligible list and reveal each result to the room.

Assign several prizes

Enter prizes in the intended draw order and prevent one entry from receiving multiple awards when rules require distinct winners.

Draw from sold ticket numbers

Use an imported or pasted list of actually issued ticket numbers rather than assuming every number in a range was sold.

Instructions

How to run the raffle

Confirm eligibility outside the tool

Resolve entry rules, duplicate people, opt-outs, presence requirements, and legal obligations before importing the final eligible list.

Add entries and ordered prizes

Paste names or ticket numbers and list prizes in the exact sequence in which they should be drawn.

Set the winner-repeat rule

Disable repeat winners when an entry may receive only one prize, or allow repeats only when the published rules permit it.

Reveal and save the receipt

Run each draw, show the result, and download or print the receipt before closing the session if you need a record.

Troubleshooting

Eligibility and prize-draw issues

There are fewer entries than prizes

When: Distinct-winner mode has more prize slots than eligible entries.

Why: The draw cannot produce a unique winner for every prize.

Try: Reduce the prize count, add eligible entries, or change the repeat rule only if the published raffle terms allow it.

Duplicate people appear under different labels

When: The eligible list contains aliases, spelling variants, or multiple tickets without a defined rule.

Why: The tool cannot infer identity or decide whether those entries are allowed separate chances.

Try: Normalize the eligible list according to the published rules before drawing.

The receipt was not saved

When: The page is refreshed or closed before the receipt is copied, printed, or downloaded.

Why: Random 42 does not store raffle results on a server or account.

Try: Save the receipt before leaving the session; otherwise rerun only according to your documented redraw policy.

Trust

Draw rules, receipts, and privacy

The draw is only as fair as the eligible list and rules

Random 42 samples the entries it receives, but it cannot verify identity, ticket sales, consent, geography, or legal raffle compliance.

  • With equal entries and no weights, each active entry has the same chance for the current prize.
  • Removing a winner changes the pool for later prizes and prevents repeat wins by design.
  • A receipt records the result from this session; it is not a cryptographic signature, trusted timestamp, or public verification service.

Entries and results stay on the draw device

Names, ticket numbers, prize labels, settings, winners, and the receipt are used for the active task and are not saved by Random 42.

  • Random 42 does not publish winner pages, send notifications, or create a cloud audit record.
  • Any downloaded receipt is stored and shared under the organizer's control.

Boundaries

Why this is not a verified draw

This is not a verified or regulated raffle service

Organizers are responsible for eligibility, official rules, permits, taxes, age restrictions, retention, and any required independent oversight.

Review before you use the result

  • Do not describe this draw as third-party verified, tamper-proof, or independently audited.
  • The tool does not import social-platform comments or prove that an entry followed external giveaway rules.
  • Use a documented redraw policy for absent, ineligible, or unclaimed winners before the event begins.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can one person win more than one prize?

Only when repeat winners are enabled and your published rules permit it. Disable repeats to remove each winner from later draws.

Can I use ticket numbers instead of names?

Yes. Paste the actual eligible or sold ticket numbers and preserve any leading zeros in their visible labels.

Is the raffle independently verified?

No. It is a session draw. The receipt is not a signature, trusted timestamp, or public verification record.

Are entries or winners uploaded?

No. The entry list, results, and receipt remain on the current device unless you choose to export them.
